The Chechen State University named after A.A. Kadyrov is one of the largest universities in the North Caucasus, a leading regional university, which is the main supplier of specialists for most areas of life in the Chechen Republic, and also trains professional personnel for the economy and social sphere of other regions.
Currently, the University provides training in basic general education programs, complete secondary education, 21 areas of secondary vocational education, 31 areas of bachelor's degree training, 24 areas of master's degree training, 9 specialties, 13 residency programs and 15 programs for training highly qualified personnel in postgraduate studies.
Supplementary education includes such subtypes as supplementary education for children and adults and supplementary vocational education (16 advanced training programs and 7 professional retraining programs).
The structure of the Chechen State University named after A.A. Kadyrov includes 4 institutes and 9 faculties (66 departments), a preparatory department for foreign students, 2 colleges and a lyceum, a Medical Accreditation and Simulation Center, research and educational laboratories, a museum, a technology park, and a sports club.
The University employs a staff of scientists and staff to solve fundamental and applied problems of developing the socio-economic and scientific-technical potential of the republic and the country, and there are a number of scientific schools, a center for collective use, and a technology park. The only regional collective work platform in the North Caucasus Federal District, “Boiling Point – Grozny,” also operates on the basis of the University.
To train highly qualified personnel, six dissertation councils for the defense of dissertations for the degree of candidate of sciences and for the degree of doctor of sciences have been opened at the Chechen State University named after A.A. Kadyrov:

08.00.05 – Economy and management of the national economy: economy, organization and management of enterprises, industries, complexes – agro-industrial complex and agriculture; 08.00.05 Economy and management of the national economy: management (economic sciences).
12.00.01 – Theory and history of law and state; history of doctrines on law and state (legal sciences); 12.00.03 – Civil law; business law; family law; international private law (legal sciences); 12.00.08 – Criminal law and criminology; penal law (legal sciences).
13.00.01 – General pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education (pedagogical sciences); 13.00.08 – Theory and methodology of professional education (pedagogical sciences).
25.00.36 – Geoecology (geological and mineralogical sciences, geographical sciences).
10.01.02 – Literature of the peoples of the Russian Federation (North Caucasian literature) (philological sciences); 10.02.02 – Languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation (North Caucasian languages) (philological sciences).
As part of the development of international activities, the university accepts foreign students from near and far abroad countries for full-term study in higher education programs.
Graduates of the Scholarship Program of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic for training young personnel abroad, which was in effect from 2008 to 2013, are also involved in the implementation of programs in English. Currently, more than 40 graduates of the Program are employed at the Chechen State University named after A.A. Kadyrov in various positions.
The University is actively developing its partner network, currently having more than 50 cooperation agreements with various universities and enterprises. Among them are both Russian organizations and foreign ones – universities in Germany, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Turkey and others.
